Summary

I am an experienced and passionate teacher with a diverse range of skills and strengths. I have experience planning and delivering quality teaching using both the the New Zealand and New South Wales Curriculums and have a sound understanding of the English National Curriculum. I love to teach and learn alongside staff and students and am enjoying an exhilarating career as a primary school teacher.

I have experience leading teams in curriculum integration and design, writing intervention programmes and tracking grids that support and lift student achievement, engagement and agency.

As a teacher, it is my aim to encourage students to think critically and take risks in a supportive classroom environment. I believe children thrive in supportive learning environments that value and encourage their student voice. This ensures engagement and interest in the learning process.

I understand that students have different learning styles and as a teacher, I work to make all students feel valued, supported and challenged in their learning.

It is my teaching philosophy that greatness, growth and learning comes from a strong sense of connectedness between teacher and student. All growth comes from the foundation of relationship. I believe that people are a school's greatest asset and I pride myself on my ability to make staff, students and their families, feel valued and encouraged.
