Chen-Ling Liang

Shanhaijian operates in-person live action role-playing murder mystery games. In 2020, I started as a host, who was responsible for keeping a smooth flow of a game and ensuring an engaging and immersive experience for players. One year later, I became the director and took on greater leadership responsibilities in business operations.

Key achievements and skills:

• Improved oral and speech skills and stage presence through hosting and acting
• Enhanced team collaboration and assigned tailored tasks through regular communication, goal setting, and performance evaluations in a weekly basis
• Formed strategic partnerships with university student associations such as AUCSS
• Negotiated favourable contracts and leases
• Prepared legal and tax documents upon advice from the solicitor and accountant
• Managed payroll, GST and other statements through Xero and IRD

I delivered English classes to junior Taiwanese students on special topics including law and business. I significantly improved my oral and writing skills by simplifying complex material into easy-to-digest information.
