Accomplishments

  • Kaupapa Māori Models of Care: Established the Te Ātiawa Manaaki Kāpiti, kaupapa Māori response to COVID -19 Care in the Community, a whānau centred model of care, enabled through collective impact and stakeholder management.
  • Kāpiti Health Network: Established and Chair the Kāpiti Health Network, a network that includes, Iwi, local Council, Te Whatu Ora, Tū Ora PHO, hauora, general practice providers, allied health and interested community stakeholders, to meet the health priorities in the Kāpiti area.
  • Ātiawa Toa Iwi Māori Partnership Board: Chairperson of the first established IMPB in Aotearoa within budget and before the set deadline.
  • Diversity in the workplace: Increase the Māori workforce within Tū Ora by 50%, established new roles within the organisation structure including a disability advisor and lived experience position. Developed policies to increase diversity within the workforce.
  • COVID- 19 vaccinations: Achieved 90% COVID-19 vaccination rates for Tū Ora.
