• Employed by Iwi Health and Social Services Provider to support local iwi efforts in improving social pathways to wellbeing for their iwi, hapu and whanau.
• Delivered Social Workers in Schools (SWIS) Ministry of Social Development contract across all Eastern Bay of Plenty primary schools.
• SWIS role was to identify social, whanau, cultural and education barriers and develop pathways to support students and their whanau to reach their full potential at school.
• This role helps design and enable pathways to address and prevent social issues impacting on children; through developing strong networks with health, non-government organisations, iwi, marae and charity agencies and connecting children and their whanau to these services.
