Cheyenne Leavai

I currently work for Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children at the Te Puna Wai o Tuhinapo Residence as a Youth Worker. I work with our Rangatahi by helping them try to pave a better future for themselves by encouraging positive behaviour and try encourage them to do more with their life that motivates them to make the right decisions.

I helped the children out in their classes and often support the teachers especially with the kids who needed a bit more support than others to get their work done.

I was an acting supervisor for Fiji Airways servicing the aircraft and making sure the planes were unloaded and loaded correctly and things ran smoothly before each flight. I also supervised some of the freight planes making sure all the parcels were taken off the aircraft carefully and vice versa.

I was a support worker for families who were involved with the police and the courts due to domestic violence where I would support them in finding better paths for themselves and help them find their own way of healing through community activities and support from wider organisations.
