As a final-year physiotherapy student, I have developed a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills through my academic training and hands-on placements. My experiences in various healthcare settings have allowed me to assist with patient assessments, implement treatment plans under supervision, and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. I am passionate about promoting mobility, functional independence, and holistic patient care. Seeking a position as a physiotherapy assistant, I am eager to contribute my skills in a collaborative, patient-focused environment and am committed to continuously learning and growing as a future physiotherapist.

1. Kidz First - Community Health (July2024)

• Assisted with community-based physiotherapy for children with developmental, neurological, and physical conditions
• Supported implementation of individualized treatment plans under supervision
• Developed communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams

2. Middlemore Hospital - Acute Paediatric Ward (Feb 2025-Apr 2025)

• Assisted with physiotherapy for children with medical, surgical, and respiratory conditions in an acute care setting
• Supported early mobilization, chest physiotherapy, discharge planning, and provided mobility aids (e.g. crutches)
• Educated patients and families on rehabilitation techniques, mobility aids, and safe practices for recovery
• Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams such as nurse and occupational therapists and communicated effectively with children and their families in sensitive situations

3. Counties Manukau Health - Community Health Team Eastern (May 2025 - Jun 2025)

• Delivered home-based physiotherapy to older adults, focusing on post-operative rehab and chronic condition management
• Conducted safety assessments, provided fall prevention education, and tailored exercise programs to promote independence
• Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams and worked closely with families to support patient-centered care
• Developed confidence in working independently and adapting care to diverse cultural and home environments

4. Private practice - Habit Health Glen Innes (July 2025 - Current)

• Assisting in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and occupational injuries
• Supporting clients with exercise prescription and gym-based rehabilitation programs
• Performed supervised manual therapy techniques, including sports massage, and conducted functional assessments
• Developing skills in private practice workflows, client communication, and evidence-based rehabilitation planning
• Assisted with clinical support for a local rugby team, gaining exposure to sports injury management and return-to-play protocols
