After graduating from university, I dedicated myself to private piano tutoring and teaching at after-school academies. However, balancing these roles wasn't enough to sustain my living, so I worked at a café during the day. My passion for coffee and hospitality then opened the door to managing my own small business. Running a business was my greatest challenge. It wasn't just about earning money; it felt like I was investing in invaluable experiences. I learned and grew every day. I loved building a relationship with my customers, shared our daily lives. Although it was only a short three years before having children, it remains one of the most valuable experiences and fondest memories of my life.
In my free time, I love swimming, whether indoors or outdoors. Each year, I challenge myself by participating in the Harbour Crossing; a commitment that pushes me to my limits but brings unparalleled satisfaction. Currently, I'm deeply invested in learning te reo Māori. Learning a new language is always fascinating, and it's a true honor to gain insights into te ao Māori and tangata whenua.
