  • I assisted customers with transactions and returns in a new retail environment, different from my previous experience. Additionally, my previous store didn’t offer delivery services, so I gained new skills related to arranging delivery requests for the customer.

Customer Service

  • This role mainly involved things like working alongside checkout operators and helping customers in store and on the phone about for example click collect. This role has expanded my knowledge more than before since doing this role has help me be more comfortable about talking on phone to help customers and text on group chat for doing handover to other team members, so they are aware of some of the things that happened during my shifts, so they won’t be confused on their shift about some of the situation. After doing this role I believe that my leadership skills have improved as I arrange breaks and work and find suitable time to do it as well ask the team member before coming to the final conclusion. Every day during shift is like a new opportunity and with the supports from my co-workers I have really enjoyed doing this role.

  • This was a part time job when i was on my school holiday and this role involved helping customer purchase their items and to help them return them as well. This was my first time working in the retail shop after volunteering for few months, it was new and thrilling experience where i got to be in a new working environment which was really different from my previous ones. Fundraising for charities like “Be the joy” campaign and interacting with different types of customers was really fun where i feel like I have developed more.

Talley’s
12.2020 - 02.2021
  • This work was a seasonal work that I did during my long school holiday.
  • By working in a food factory I know the value of hygiene more than I use to. This is because hygiene is prioritized the most at Talley’s, to insure that each and every product’s handled well. So, that costumers will be able to receive good products.
  • I was able to open more than 5000 mussel a day. So my speed with my hands have improved as well as my feet’s endurance since their was no place to sit during my shift.
  • Another essential skill I developed while working in Talley’s is time management. i had to work 6am to 2pm plus extra hours for cleaning which had a varied time taking about maximum 3 hrs. to complete. I worked 6 days a week(Mon-Sat). During these hrs. i had to manage how I will be able to get ready at mussel building, all equipped and ready to work at exactly 6am. Also, during breaks how I will be using it to its full potential since their was no alarm bell so I had to make sure I wont miss end of the break time to avoid getting late to work.
