Accomplishments

  • Hypebeast Japan Award, Japan, 2018: Invited to participate in HypeBeast Japan International Airmax Day in 2018, a prestigious event for sneaker enthusiasts, hosted by Hommyo Hidefumi, founder of Atmos. Participated in a three-day event featuring workshops on concept development, silhouette selection, material exploration, and colour exploration. Designed a unique Airmax shoe during the event. As one of the few international participants, and the only individual from New Zealand and Samoa, I was selected as one of the top contributors to Japanese sneaker culture by Complex Sneakers and HypeBeast Japan. I was also recognised and awarded for my influence and contributions to Chicks in Kicks Sneaker Culture.
  • Live TV Show Host - Alt TV, Auckland, 2007-2009: Hosted the live TV show 'GPunk with Chyssie' during the prime-time slot on Saturdays at 3pm. Showcased sneaker reviews and covered various music genres from UK Grime to Hardcore/Punk and Hip-Hop. Provided a platform for tattoo artists and local scene talent. Independently sourced prizes for the show. Achieved a top-five rating among the station's shows. The station eventually closed in 2009.
