Customer interactions is one of my most enjoyable aspects , ensuring customers are happy is very important to me.
For 3 years in my current role, I attended monthly H&S meetings, as Health and Safety rep for my department. this helped me gage a better understanding of health and safety protocols and to be more aware of my surroundings, and what could we do better to create a safer work environment, for both staff and customers.
Outside of work I enjoy social gatherings, board games, maintaining my vege garden, social football and time with family.
NZ Qualified lifeguard Assessor/Trainer - Working on behalf of Te Mahi Ako (formerly Skills Active), being responsible for the training of new lifeguards, and being able to Qualify them under Te Mahi Ako and NZQA standards. Ensuring their qualifications and skills are kept current. Undertaking yearly moderation to ensure correct results.
Lifeguard - Attending/leading specific Lifeguard training monthly, ensuring fitness levels are maintained. Being responsible for large amounts of customers at any amount of time. First Aid certificates kept current and having the ability to react in a timely manner with any incident/emergency that may happen. Being able to keep a cool head under pressure is imperative.
Pool Attendant - This includes maintaining pool areas, and changing rooms. Also includes working laundry shifts when required, and maintaining pool temperatures.
Customer service is a huge component to this role, due to the amount of interactions we have on a daily basis with visitors from all over the world.
