Personal and Professional Strengths

Over the past 21 months, it has been a privilege working as the Maths Support Teacher at Tauranga Girls' College. The study portion of this position has equipped me with the tools to present Mathematics in a more creative and collaborative way, focusing on student engagement and success for those students who struggle with mathematics. I have worked collaboratively to support teachers in their classrooms, strengthening my capabilities in the Maths teaching space while providing assistance to students experiencing difficulty with the learning material. I have strong communication and relational skills and have made many positive relationships with both students and staff over this time. I am culturally responsive and promote an environment of mutual respect with high expectations.
