I am a high-energy individual with a background in childhood development and education. I have in-depth knowledge of the NZ curriculum and understand the value of providing high quality resources for schools. I am a personable individual, and enjoy meeting, communicating and working with people within the twinkl-verse. I am a dedicated Twinkl professional with a history of meeting production targets through utilizing consistent and organised practices. I am skilled in working under pressure and adapting to new situations and challenges to best enhance the product being created. I am a detail-oriented team player with strong organisational skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
At Twinkl, I have been able to stay up to date with the current NZ curriculum happenings and engage in product development within a highly qualified NZ team. We established a successful literacy product, fostering skills from members and creating content which supports teachers in a creative and professional manner.

During my teaching career, I have taught across multiple year groups and curriculum levels, having had experience with my own classrooms and have shared classes with fellow teacher colleagues. I have experience working with Year 3&4, Year 5&6 and Year 7&8 classes, developing my own knowledge of, and engaging in, student-driven Inquiry topics for 21st century learners at all levels/phases, and providing educational support for both Junior, Middle and Senior school members. I have also held a leadership role as IT lead for school, supporting staff and students in developing digital skills.
Duties:
I have a passion for teaching all subjects, but particularly enjoy the areas of Math, Science, Literacy, Inquiry, PE and Social Studies.
I began my working life as a Speech and Language therapist in the UK. In this role, I worked mainly with Paediatric clients who experienced a range of challenges, including children with autism, Specific Language Impairments, speech delays, and teenagers with psychiatric impairments.
Skills from this area of my life are continually utilised in my more recent career opportunities.
Throughout my work experience, collaboration has been key to success within all roles I have worked with many individuals including within school teams, health practitioners, businesses, leading an admin team, and community members Receiving and responding to feedback was vital to success of all role objectives, and adapting to different needs of students, parents, community members and various teams
Open and honest, clear communication is paramount to my current role and in previous teaching roles, both oral and written, and has been fostered throughout my working career
I enjoy incorporating tech skills and encourage use of different modalities within my classroom to complete work including movie making, green screening, and student podcast development I also motivate and assist/encourage development of other teachers tech skills within the school teaching team
I am a tidy and organised individual ensuring deadlines are met and openly communicate if assistance is required, for example when organising fundraising events, scheduling EQR appointments and home visits, and yearly/termly/weekly classroom curriculum plans
