• Assisted in tripping pipe and makes connections while running drill pipe or casing
• Nippling up stacks onto well heads, attaching coomy lines and assisted in pressure testing

• Washed the rig and performed daily maintenance and inspections and reported to driller or mechanic about machine malfunctions or other problems if found.
• Unloaded drilling fluids and casing off trucks when required.
• Wrote PTW's and held tool box talks for the task then utilized techniques learned to avoid mishaps on job.
• Assisted Derrickman on the tanks with mixing, mud weights, Vis testing and spending sweeps when required.

In this role I am a FIFO Assistant Driller working as a Diamond driller out of Queenstown.

• Quickly learned new skills and style of drilling and applied them to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
• Worked Shift hours; night, weekend, and holiday shifts on a 2/1 roster.

Whist working for this company I have gained a vast skill set/understanding surrounding drilling which includes.

• Operating trucks, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and other types of equipment.
• Adhered to safe operating procedures, protecting personnel and assets while completing projects according to specifications.
• have gained a small amount geothermal knowledge working along side Tuwharetoa Geothermal and BDC Geothermal Drilling Consultants.
• Kept operations smooth and efficient by administering maintenance reports on equipment, making sure to report faults.
• always thinking ahead and have everything ready to go when the next task comes.
• have worked on a rig using shakers and duplex pumps and BOP's for the majority of my time at this company. Having also drilled using air and muds.
