Years of piano experience

I am a Year 12 student at Saint Kentigern College with a strong interest in academics, music, and personal growth. I enjoy challenging myself both inside and outside the classroom and have developed a disciplined approach to learning, balancing my studies with a wide range of extracurricular commitments.
Music has been a significant part of my life from a young age. I have studied piano and cello for many years, achieving distinction in multiple ABRSM examinations and continuing to work towards diploma-level performance. Through performing in school ensembles, competitions, and concerts, I have developed confidence, resilience, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. These experiences have taught me the importance of preparation, consistency, and maintaining a positive attitude when faced with challenges.
Alongside music, I place a strong emphasis on my academic studies. I enjoy learning new concepts, solving problems, and continuously improving my skills. Being involved in both demanding academic work and music has strengthened my time management, organisation, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
Outside of school, I enjoy collaborating with others and contributing to my community. Whether working as part of an ensemble, supporting classmates, or participating in school activities, I value communication, respect, and reliability. I believe that being approachable and willing to learn are important qualities that help create positive relationships with those around me.
