  • My role across three district teams consisted of vetting firearms applicants and their referees and making recommendations as to the outcome. This process was carried out in accordance with the Arms Act 1983 alongside the provisions of the Privacy Act 2020 and the coinciding legislative regulations. Day to day tasks in this role, include:

  • Requesting personal information in a confidential manner is also a task often carried out e.g., Requesting medical or psychiatric assessments.
  • Secure storage checks at applicants' houses, ensuring their firearms storage is compliant, meeting Arms Act regulations/guidelines.
