Work History

Supervisor: Beef & Wastewater Farms

Fairfield Farms
12.2018 - Current
  • Restored Factory wastewater farm to productivity and compliance targets.
  • The beef unit works in conjunction with this operation, utilising the byproduct from the vegetable processing factory and silage produced from the wastewater dispersal farm to fatten over 2000 store cattle/year.
  • The complicated and varied role sees me working closely with the factory, contractors, stock agents, reps and our Farming Division to ensure our high standards are maintained.

Farm Manager

Tahu A Tao/Cressey Dairies
06.2017 - 11.2018
  • 850 cows on 216ha, 50-bail rotary for 50/50 sharemilker
  • Irrigated by 4 rotorainers and with 5 FTE staff
  • My achievements include maintaining milk production levels and delivering the best mating results the farm had recorded during the sharemilker’s tenure during a difficult season where district average KPIs were down across the board, and retaining our grade-free status whilst understaffed.

Unit Manager

Makaiwai/Rangitata Dairies
06.2014 - 05.2017
  • 1150 Cows (two herds) through a 50-bail rotary (Protrack, in-shed feeding)
  • 6.5 FTE staff, three pivots, two rotorainers, a gun and 30ha of k-lines and sprinklers across a 300ha milking platform and 105ha support block
  • During my time, the farm achieved its record production season, downer cow numbers were halved, we developed the support block and staff retention greatly improved.

Account Coordinator

Dimensions
02.2004 - 08.2006
  • Handled orders from multiple accounts, from routine uniform replacements to full scale rollouts, from input to distribution.
