I am a recent graduate holding a NZ Diploma in Architectural Technology (L6).
Co-owner of a successful family owned and operated water sport business, located in Mount Maunganui. This venture began during my second year of study showcasing my ability to balance work, study and family commitments. I believe this reflects highly on my work ethic and character.
Attributes I developed while playing sport were, how to work as a team and understanding individual strengths and skills.
I believe what set me apart from the majority of my graduating class would have been my ability to take a complex task and regurgitate a simple explanation.
From a class of fifty-three students, I was the only graduate to receive my parchment at Ihenga Marae, Rotorua. This highlighted the celebration of diversity we embrace as a nation creating a two-fold triumph.
My career aspirations involve obtaining my Design LBP and evolving into a designer.
I'm drawn to architectural firms that support career development and have interests in the science of biomimicry.
Proficient in NZS3604 and the NZ Building Code, my second year focused on construction detailing, design theory and publishing full sets of plans. This solidified my grasp of the design process.
While familiar with ArchiCAD, I'm adapting to industry changes by exploring Revit through platforms like LinkedIn Learning,
Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy sports, chess, and the occasional Sunday hikes in our beautiful forested areas.
