I grew up in Southland, in the small rural town of Wyndham, on my family’s sheep and beef farm. Being one of five siblings has taught me responsibility, teamwork, and adaptability. My rural upbringing has given me a strong work ethic, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
I am passionate about sport and the outdoors. I have represented my school in netball, basketball, and hockey, and I regularly compete in endurance events including half marathons, triathlons, orienteering, and adventure races. I also enjoy tramping and hunting, which reflect my active and outdoorsy lifestyle.
I have babysat for many different families around the community for multiple years. This includes tasks such as :
I have worked on out family farm from a very young age, I help out whenever I can including after school, weekends and holidays.
Tasks on the farm may include:
-Managing the farm when my parents are away.
-working with live stock
-driving heavy machinery
-feeding stock
I have worked at the Sandfly Cafe In Te Anau for the past 2 summers. My job included, providing friendly customer service, taking orders, served food and drinks, handled cash and EFTPOS transactions, maintained a clean and welcoming environment, and worked efficiently in a fast-paced team setting.
