AV/IT Manager

  • Providing strategic advice to the Principal, Finance and Business Manager and SLT on improving ICT infrastructure for educational needs
  • Managing approximately 400 leased devices, including laptops, workstations, servers, UPS's, and printers
  • Working closely with ICT contractors to support 2500 users utilising technology in the school
  • Manage all MOE-funded projects such as hyper-fibre and the Te Mana Tūhono Programme
  • Working closely with ICT contractors to ensure the security of the 8300 devices connected to the school network
  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures that ensure operational continuity and compliance with relevant requirements

As AV/IT Manager since 2013, I have led a variety of technology projects ranging from no-budget tasks to $400,000+ implementations. I work closely with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver efficient, innovative solutions. Key projects include:

Westlake Girls High School Event Centre

  • Managed $400,000+ AV and IT installation for a 2,300-seat event centre, including advanced AV and IT automation.

CCTV Infrastructure Upgrade

  • Led $100,000 project to deploy 80+ CCTV cameras and implement a virtual server with SAN storage.

Technology Lease Management

  • Oversaw $300,000 equipment lease cycle, managing 200+ workstations, 120+ laptops, and a backup server room.

Electronic School Sign Installation

  • Spearheaded the $100,000 design and installation of an electronic school sign, working with engineers and council authorities.

Wireless Network Overhaul
