I joined Raven Architecture to gain hands-on experience in design work and further develop my skills in architectural drafting. My role involved working closely with clients to refine concepts, ensuring their vision was effectively translated into practical designs. I also liaised with various consultants to coordinate structural, environmental, and compliance aspects of each project. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing detailed working drawings for council submissions, ensuring all documentation met regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• After earning a qualification in CAD drafting, I joined the company as a junior. Over five years, I gained extensive experience collaborating with clients, engineers, resource consent consultants, and councils. My work primarily involved residential projects, including new builds, renovations, and extensions.

• During this period, I worked as an apprentice builder across a range of companies, initially in the commercial sector before transitioning to residential projects. This experience ultimately led to me becoming a qualified carpenter.
