Kia orana,
Thankyou for taking the time to read about my background. In addition to my work experience, education and community work, I am a proud Mother of two teenage boys and a french bulldog and a pug.
I am passionate about the well-being of people and planet, and service to my community.
I am privileged with the ability to keep myself fit and healthy. This is important to me as my physical health relates to keeping my spiritual and mental health in balance.
We provide a weekly meal for 200 of Auckland's street community, and in collaboration with other wrap around service providers connect our friends to showers and washing services, clothing, haircuts and recently emergency housing. We are in the course of setting up a free legal clinic at our service also, to incorporate my recent barrister status into the services available.
I co-ordinate free kai provision in Auckland Central for our street whanau and maintain the free meals list, which highlights where all free meals are in the city.
I also co-ordinate Auckland's World Homeless Day event in partnership with Auckland Council, and provide a Christmas and Easter meal for our un-housed community.
I started working for Philip Hamlin Barrister as a volunteer, then progressed to a law clerk, and in March 2024 gained my practising certificate to be a supervised barrister.
We received the 2022-2023 Auckland award for 'Club of the Year' under my leadership
