Professional Highlights

  • Successfully established new e-commerce online retail company, Wipers2U. Utilising technology to simplify operational effectiveness and making it easy for customers to order and quickly receive their products. Increasing market share by consistently working on SEO, online marketing and email marketing.
  • Profitably increased market share and grew the revenue base of the New Zealand business of SKF. Achieved by overhauling the business model from a transactional sales approach to become an integrated solution provider that led to a 5-fold increase in sales, even though the company's products are 20% more expensive than its nearest competitor.
  • Boosted the contribution of OEM sales at SKF from 0% to 10% within two years after losing an NZ$500K a year OEM client, through a change in go-to-market strategy by decentralising the sales team, facilitating communication between sales and engineering teams, and providing sales, key account management, and presentation training.
  • Elevated profits at SKF by 3% through a reduction in freight and labour costs, while improving customer satisfaction via lower delivery lead times. Achieved by consolidating sea and air freight shipments, negotiating lower freight rates, and arranging for the freight company to unpack shipments on arrival, repack them into consignments and send them directly to distributors.
  • At NSK New Zealand, transformed an adversarial relationship with the senior management team of the company's largest distributor into a partnership founded on trust by openly discussing the issues and being an objective mediator at meetings. In addition, the NSK business grew significantly after the distributor had completed two acquisitions.
