Initially appointed to shift on the Master Control & Gate House which included supervising 100 staff which included the follow responsibilities: Entry/exit control, searching, security of pedestrians & men in our care, including officers, contractors, stakeholders, dignitories, local Iwi, Kaitiaki, visitors & family
Managing relationships with air & road ambulance, medical personnel, volunteers, clergy, aid dogs, including liaising with parents of children & babies to organie transport
Trained staff in procedures & policies of using x-ray machines, wands, including instruction on procedures for rub-downs & strip searches
Supervising issue of handcuffs, body cameras, pepper spray & prison keys
Attending to public enquires, trouble shooting, identifying error, problem solving including addressing external public complaints, providing assistance to correct channels for complaints to be addressed
Focusing on health & safety for all, including prison escape prevention escape, providing a smooth order/runnng of the faclity
