  • I have been working in OSHC, as an assistant coordinator/educator to the Bayswater centre
  • Duties included covering the centre in the absence of the coordinator and help run the service
  • Other duties included programming, administration, bookings and liaising with parents and staff and interacting with the children
  • I was also required to relieve at other services due to staff shortages.
  • Children's ages range from 4 years old (Kindy) upwards.

  • I started as a Library Guard at the Kelburn Campus in Wellington - I learnt all the University sites (4) which involved foot patrol of the sites
  • Duties included checking, locking and unlocking buildings and student/staff requests
  • The role required customer service with students, staff and general public via phone, email and face to face.
  • I also learnt the control room operator role, which was CCTV work, this was also the central communication area for the Security department and University.
  • All roles were based on a 24/7 basis and were every day of the year including public holidays
  • I progressed to Supervisor of the Library and Mobile teams from August 2019 and was also a relief control room operator
  • Duties involved meetings, staffing rosters, hiring and general requests from staff and helping with student requests.
