As a laboratory technician in the trace analysis team, I was responsible for day-to-day operations which included;

• Monitoring lab compliance and performance through audits as the quality representative for the team.
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy in test results by following strict quality control procedures.
• Training new staff and ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols
• Calibrating and maintaining instruments to keep equipment fully operational.
• Troubleshooting ICP-MS instruments.
• Performing routine lab and department maintenance to keep area clean and orderly.
• Ran various tests on a daily basis, structuring the daily operation to meet deadlines.

As a City Safe Officer, I was a compliance offer who patrolled and monitored Hamilton City in company vehicle, on CCTV cameras, and by foot. During this time I had several task that I was responsible for;

• I was responsible for the safety and wellbeing of myself and all staff members out on the street.
• Acted quickly during emergency situations to reduce opportunity for damage and injury.
• Reported suspicious activities and persons to law enforcement. Also helped with investigations using CCTV.
• Day-to-day operations involved de-escalating situations and just providing the public help whenever needed.
