Kia Ora I have a 54 year parent of five rangatahi who works part-time in General Practice at UCHC in Canterbury, and who is returning to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine due to a longstanding interest in developing world medicine which is shared with my partner of 27 years who works as an Opthalmologist in ChCh.
I am currently also studying Level 1 Papa Reo through Te Wananga Aoteoroa.
There is huge personal satisfaction supporting rangatahi through their university studies, and as our youngest whanau member is 15, the opportunities for travel post covid are expanding for both patients, and personally for our whanau.
After attending two NZSTM Conferences I am looking forward to re-connecting with the Post Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine which I did initially commence in 2001 but do to whanau commitments was not able to complete.
