Diaporthe leaf blight and powdery mildew were the most important fungal foliar diseases of Yard long bean in polyhouses of Thiruvananthapuram district.

Management for Diaporthe leaf blight disease: Soil application of AMF @ 5 g plant-1 at planting and foliar application of fermented Setaria barbata extract (10%) at 20, 40 and 60 days after planting (DAP), Management for Powdery mildew disease: Soil application of AMF @ 5 g plant-1 at planting and foliar application of sodium bicarbonate (0.5%) at 20, 40 and 60 DAP,


  • Experience in conducting trials at laboratory as well as field level, Data collection and analysis with respect to biometric and yield attributes of greenhouse grown yard long bean, In-vitro and in-vivo growth inhibition assays using organic preparations, botanicals and bioassays using Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma viride on the effect of leaf blight pathogen Diaporthe tectonae in greenhouse grown yard long bean.
