Roles and Responsibilities- Circulating Nurse:

• Identification of correct patient for correct surgery.

• Ensuring that the operating theatre has been sterilised

• Preparing the necessary equipment for the operation

• Sterilising material, gloves and gowns

• Performing initial counts of the sponges, instruments and needles

• Liaising with other nurse teams throughout

• Helping with dressings

• Assisting the surgeon throughout the surgery with various tasks

• Getting the patient ready for the recovery room

• Upheld ethical standards and confidentiality while advocating for patients' rights and resolving complex issues.

• Collaborated effectively with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
