My role as an educator of the Tongan art workshop at Connect the Dots allows me to give back to my Tongan elders who are living with dementia.
In this role I assist the lead educator by setting up and packing up at the beginning and end of each workshop, supporting participants by reintroducing them to methods of Tongan art and textile making as well as taking photographs for our staff blog and Instagram page.
As a sales assistant my job is to help the Citta Grey Lynn team meet sales targets as well as deliver exceptional customer service to both existing and new clientele.
As a textile graduate, this role has assisted in keeping me up to date with what's going on in the industry and how our clientele react to current product. Being put in charge of merchandising the cushion wall each week is my pride and joy and has challenged me to produce new methods of staying creative with the same product each season.
As a research assistant my role consisted of

Working for Nike gave me an extensive amount of knowledge about innovation within performance gear. Responsibilities that I had as a sales associate include

In my role as a warehouse manager my responsibilities were
- Evaluating product inventory to check for quality and quantity issues
- Keeping documentation and records accurate and up-to-date with latest data to prevent errors in processing or delivery
- Leading a team of three and when busy, up to eight team members daily
- Training new staff on job duties, company policies and safety procedures
- Communicating directly with delivery company and buyers about stock inventory and conducting deliveries coming in and out of the warehouse
- Producing monthly reports
- Handling day-to-day shipping and receiving, overseeing more than 50 packages per day
Before working for DSL Logistics, I worked for a company called Garment Care which was later acquired by DSL. The experience I acquired while working for Garment Care is the reason why I became inclined to pursue a future within the textile industry.
Daily responsibilities included
- Confirming accuracy, quality and quantity of stock received
- Working the industrial steam machine and making sure it was at the right setting for the different garments going in and out of it
- Pressing garments for brands such as MAX, Loobies Story, Forever New, 3 Wise Men, Lemon Tree and Farmers.
- Quality control on garments
- Fulfilling and completing online orders for MAX
- Communicating with Courier Post to ensure orders are collected twice a day and delivered on time
