• Liaising with clients and contractors regarding issues onsite with construction materials and methods of compaction.

• Northern corridor Project: Worked very closely with site engineers and performed all sort of site tests e.g., Compaction test, bearing capacity, moisture content test, density test etc.
• Project was at stage 2 and earthworks were under operation.

• Firth is one of the largest concrete and masonry products producing company in New Zealand.

Laboratory duties include:

• Assisting with daily testing of concrete specimens to relevant standards to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within agreed timescales.
• Keeping accurate and legible records of all work undertaken.
• Processing test specimen through laboratory and ensuring all samples are marked and stored correctly.
• Sending test reports to clients and designing new mixes as per their requirements.
• Managing laboratory staff in absence of laboratory manager.
• Organizing toolbox meetings and assisting risk assessment plans and job safety plans.

Site duties include:

• Communication with clients, Site Engineers/Managers.
• Testing fresh concrete on-site.
• Carrying out slump and spread tests.
• Resolving any issues related to concrete.

PROJECTS

• Well-connected tunnel Project, Auckland Convention Centre, Commercial Bay.
• (Waterview tunnel): Site based testing of concrete and liaising with dispatch and site managers/Site engineers.
• Solving issues regarding concrete and supervising ready-mix trucks onsite.
• Signing off dockets.
• Reporting back to plant engineer.
• Placing orders of measures of concrete for clients.
