Panel Beater
Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of vehicles to assess extent
of damage. Disassembling damaged vehicle parts. Repairing dents and other
damage to bodywork and replacing any parts that cannot be repaired.
Reassembling vehicle body parts and accessories.
Fitter
Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to
specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc,
welding equipment.
Auto Body Technician
Restoring vehicles to their original condition, or better, by repairing,
replacing, and upgrading features of their exterior. Performing diagnostic
assessments to ensure that all issues have been detected, and that the
customer is willing to have these remedied .Applies corrosion inhibitors,
sealer and putty Remove and refix parts, trims and glass. Repaired difficult
and problem plastic bumpers and panels with Fusor 2 part repair products.
Met all safety standards by wearing respirators and other PPE .
Restore vehicle to a factory state.
First assessing a vehicle's damage and determining where and how to
perform repair work.
Remove damaged panels and components, either by cutting them
away or unbolting them
from the vehicle depending on the type and level of damage.
Replace the damaged parts or repair them, using mechanical,

hydraulic and metal working.

plastic fillers and file.

• Fabricated shop parts directly from blueprints.
• Removed and repaired unacceptable welds with air arc and grinder to meet quality guidelines.
• Prepared welding equipment to perform advanced welding work.
• Clamped, held, tack-welded, heat-bent and bolted component parts to achieve required configurations and positions.
