Ede Jordan

I joined the team at Beach Babylon with no experience in the hospitality industry. I worked hard to quickly learn what was required to be a useful member of the team, especially under high-pressure situations. I aim to be an organised and dependable employee who is successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I am always willing to take on added responsibilities to help the business run as smoothly as possible.

I have been looking after two young kids (ages 2 and 6 months when I met them) for around 3 years and I am now lucky enough to be called their Godmother. It has been an amazing experience and I have learned so much. I still look after them once a week where I take them to their swimming lessons on a Saturday and have been the primary swimming partner during classes. I adore spending time with them and we have lots of fun doing a range of activities. I have also taken care of them during evenings which includes an extensive night-time routine.

• I am a passionate self-taught baker. I learnt how to make fairly extravagant cakes because I enjoyed it and now I occasionally sell them. I have done one wedding cake and lots of birthday/event cakes over the years. I hope to one day get the opportunity to get some formal culinary education. I also love to bake simple and fun treats with the children I look after and they love eating them!
• I love doing creative activities such as painting, origami, sewing, knitting, basically anything messy and fun. I'm not particularly skilled at arts and crafts but I enjoy doing them nonetheless and think it's important to stimulate the creative parts of your brain as much as you can.
• I am very social and spend lots of time with my friends and family. I have a very large family with 6 step-siblings and 1 full brother. I am also an animal lover with 4 dogs and 4 cats shared between my two households.
