When I graduated high school and went to college needing to support my studies I began working for the Water District (a government agency responsible for the supply of water to the City). Over the years I progressed through many departments until I ran the collection office. In 2020 the company was privatized and I was offered a pay increase to stay on but decided after 3 months to take a redundancy package and join my husband in New Zealand.
Since arriving we have been through the residency process and my residence has been approved.
During the last year, I have been supporting my husband voluntarily at the Himatangi Cossie Club both on the till and in the kitchen, and have learned many new skills with food preparation storage, etc.
