DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES OF DIALYSIS NURSE

  • Life Support Management: Administer and manage life saving interventions such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support and cardiac monitoring.
  • Medication Administration: Administer and monitor medications, titrate drips and ensure accurate dosages in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
  • Advanced Procedures: Perform specialised procedures such as arterial line insertion, central venous catheter placement and endotracheal intubation.
  • Collabrative Care: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapist, pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Critical Thinking: Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions, interpret diagnostic results, and make rapid and informed decisions in high pressure situations
  • Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients needs , ensuring they receive appropriate care , support and information regarding their condition and treatment plan.
  • Family Communication: Provide clear and empathetic communication to patients families regarding their loved ones condition, treatment plan and prognosis.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare associated infections within the department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS IQN

  • Assess individual needs, coordinating medical assessments, ensuring proper documentation and collaborating with families and health professionals nursing process.
  • Accurate administration of medications to residents, ensuring proper dosage and timing.
  • Implementation and monitoring of infection control policies, educating staffs and residents and coordinating response to outbreak.
  • Provide comprehensive care to the residents including assisting with personal hygiene, ADLs, bathing and showering.
  • Direct and delegate responsibilities based on individual competencies and oversee the execution of careplan.
  • Assess and management of wound. Implement cleaning and dressing of wound and monitor healing progress.
  • Meticulous documentation to ensure comprehensive and accurate records. Manage emergency situations by coordinating with emergency services and implementation of appropriate interventions.
