  • Manage and maintain MOTAT's hazardous substance inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Investigate all incident reports including notifiable incidents, injuries, near misses, hazards and safety concerns, review monthly graphs for the board
  • Participate and track minutes at the monthly Safety and Wellbeing Committee – business wide and Board of trustees
  • Risk management – MOTAT is a unique workplace with varying hazards including radioactive items, asbestos, heavy machinery, tram overhead, other hazardous substances, interactive exhibition spaces
  • Other coordination tasks: onboarding, document control, raising and receipting purchase orders, ordering safety supplies, facilitating evacuation trials.
  • Other museum involvement: Te reo Māori is used in everyday communication, exhibitions, waiata and karakia. MOTAT is a widely diverse and inclusive environment, having both diversity, equality and inclusion, and rainbow committee. I am currently involved in rainbow committee and obtaining Pride Pledge
