Manage and maintain MOTAT's hazardous substance inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Investigate all incident reports including notifiable incidents, injuries, near misses, hazards and safety concerns, review monthly graphs for the board
Participate and track minutes at the monthly Safety and Wellbeing Committee – business wide and Board of trustees
Risk management – MOTAT is a unique workplace with varying hazards including radioactive items, asbestos, heavy machinery, tram overhead, other hazardous substances, interactive exhibition spaces
Other coordination tasks: onboarding, document control, raising and receipting purchase orders, ordering safety supplies, facilitating evacuation trials.
Other museum involvement: Te reo Māori is used in everyday communication, exhibitions, waiata and karakia. MOTAT is a widely diverse and inclusive environment, having both diversity, equality and inclusion, and rainbow committee. I am currently involved in rainbow committee and obtaining Pride Pledge
