Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSQE policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation and standards.
• Provide training and support to employees on HSQE best practices.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on HSQE performance metrics.

In my role as a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Officer, I am responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across all council departments. I conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing control measures to mitigate risk. This includes collaborating with department heads to ensure that employees are trained in and adhere to safe practices.
