I am a passionate and dedicated teaching student currently pursuing my degree at the University of Otago, eager to gain hands-on experience as a teacher aide before entering my third year of study. My background reflects a strong commitment to teamwork, leadership, and communication, developed through roles such as a Surf Life Saving Lifeguard and Beach Education Instructor, where I honed my ability to ensure safety, engage effectively with others, and lead with confidence.
Beyond academic pursuits, I have actively contributed to school and community activities, participating in the school production for three years and singing in the Ad Lucem Choir for four years, during which we achieved multiple accolades, including winning the Big Sing in 2021. My school achievements also include coaching netball, earning the Trinity College Speech and Drama Grade 4 certification, receiving the Lifesaving Royal Distinction Award, and being recognized with the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
I have a well-rounded skill set built on diverse experiences such as debating, competitive skiing (second place in the Junior Girls Ski Championships), playing netball and hockey for five years, and earning the Bronze Award at the Hawke’s Bay Band Festival. These accomplishments reflect my strong work ethic, adaptability, and enthusiasm for contributing to a team.
In addition, I hold a full driver’s license, making me reliable and flexible in supporting school needs.
