Community And Volunteer Experience

  • Dunstan Legacy Project, Alexandra, New Zealand, 02/01/23, Present, The Dunstan Legacy Project is a charitable trust that myself and my business partner set up in our last year of school. The aim of the Dunstan Legacy Project is to provide financial aid as an equity fund to students enduring hardship. This includes a breakfast program called Whawhai Matekai which runs with help through Dunstan High School. It will also fund extra curricular activities like sports teams, school camps and subsidised school uniforms. People involved in the board are the Dunstan High School Principal, the Mayor of Alexandra, Service Committee Leaders at Dunstan High Schools, sponsors of the trust, the PTA and Checketts McKay Law firm.
  • Central Otago Youth Council, Alexandra, New Zealand, 02/01/22, 11/01/23, I was part of the Central Otago District Youth Council involving 16-24 year olds through community engagement. I was the Youth Council Secretary in 2023. Part of my role was to oversee organisation of meetings, provide meeting minutes, communication through emails with outside parties and sit in on District Council meetings.
  • Dunstan High School Girls Football Team and Alexandra United Football Team, Alexandra, New Zealand, 02/01/23, 11/01/23, I coached the Dunstan High School girl's football team and Alexandra United junior girls team as a result of experience including the Football South team that attended the National Age Group tournament in Wellington. I have also recently been selected into the National Youth Female Maori Football Team in 2021 and 2023. This presented me with opportunities to grow my skills in planning, organisation, leading by instructions and communicating with young people.
