Summary

Throughout my degree and clinical practice I have developed a mass of experience working in all facets of the midwifery scope. These experiences have allowed me to grow competence in the promotion of physiological birthing as well as providing breast feeding support and education. I am able to effectively and competently engage with multidisciplinary teams in order to improve health outcomes for my woman as well as build a strong working relationship with other staff. I am able to quickly adapt to a range of different clinical areas and am eager to learn and develop my skills. Creating a strong partnership with whanau is at the forefront of my care as I feel this relationship allows for the promotion of informed choice, cultural safety and whanau centred care. Each whanau is individual and it is my aim as a midwife to provide care that encompasses their values and needs.
