President of the Ohaupo Play Centre 2014-2016
I ran the day to day running of the Ohaupo Junior Rugby Club which consisted of over 100 children. It was my responsibility to form 9 junior rugby teams and recruit 9 coaches and managers to oversee these teams throughout the season, I was responsible for all communication between the community and the families enrolled. I organised prize givings, meetings, musters and practices. I thoroughly enjoyed this role but my boys moved onto other clubs and so my time as president sadly come to an end.
President of the Ohaupo Junior Rugby Club 2016-2019
I joined Play centre when my first son was born and was voted in as secretary at my first monthly meeting. From that day I grew to be a strong member of this organisation and before I knew it I was representing the Ohaupo Play centre from a president role. Here I participated in 3 unit standard run courses and was able to run sessions as a qualified leader. I spent 8 years as part of this organisation which then lead me to my next voluntary role.
Dedicated PTA member at Ngahinapouri School 2013-2023
I joined the Ngahinapouri PTA when my eldest son started school. I was an active member of this group who put a lot of my own hours and time into helping run fundraisers, fishing competitions, make school lunches, coached many sports teams and the biggest job I was part of was the group who printed ribbons for a majority of the Waikato schools foe their agricultural days. I was the only printer and have spent numerous weeks/months printing on my own up to 7000 ribbons in a term raising the school thousands of dollars each year. With my youngest now starting high school I am ready to hit the workforce with all of my above skills.
