Summary

I am a Auckland University of Auckland (AUT) graduate of Mechanical Engineering with six years experience in operations management, sales and delivery in the small and medium enterprise market. For the last couple of years I have been the Operations Manager at Auckland Energy Solutions, a company that provides heating and cooling solutions for light commercial and residential clients. Initially I was onboarded as a Sales Consultant with the intent to gain experience in our go-to-market products. Prior to that I worked for Boston Wardrobes, a company that manufactured and installed wardrobe systems for the same market segments.

My role as Operations Manager (Auckland Energy Solutions) and Boston Wardrobes has provided me with market experience which includes:

  • Scheduling of daily work and management of contract staff that perform installations and factory staff.
  • Prioritising of work - balancing customer satisfaction with financial results, staff wellbeing and contractor retention.
  • Handling of customer complaints and oversight of complex installations.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Process optimisation.
  • Cost management through the purchasing and receiving of goods.
  • Health and safety aspects in both manufacturing and installation sites.
  • Managing engagements with suppliers and providers.
  • Marketing and representing the business at Expo's.
  • Maintain and building relationships with all staff to ensure best outcomes and aid in a healthy work environment.
  • Project management.
  • Management of inventory and stock.

Through my work experience I have developed skills on how to conduct myself within a residential, industrial and construction environment.

When required I am not scared to get my hands dirty and directly assist staff to get the job done. I believe the part of being a good manager is to have an extensive knowledge of the entire delivery process.
Alongside communicating with clients in a professional manner, I have shown the ability to both problem solve and be a reliable resource to perform during pressuring times. I do not smoke or use any illegal substances.
