Along with my studies, I currently work part-time as the Supervisor for Operations in the Data Acquisitions field for NielsenIQ's consumer panel. I started in the customer service role, which gave me valuable skills in dealing with real people, solving their issues, and communicating effectively. My role now as supervisor involves making sure my team is on track, setting up their daily tasks, solving any problems that may come up, and communicating with my managers.

Supervise a team of 10+ people, ensuring everyone is on track and solving any issues that come up.

  • Setup the shift by allocating work and daily tasks to all team members.
  • Evaluate team member performance regularly and provide guidance where needed.
  • Communicated with upper management through End of Shift reports and performance spreadsheets.
  • Process dispatch orders for around New Zealand.
  • Train new employees, keep manual relevant and up-to-date, and create and send out fortnightly rosters.

Prior to being Supervisor I work as a Helpdesk Assistant:

  • Answered incoming calls from customers, responded to any questions or complaints, solved problems, and went through troubleshooting procedures.
  • Made hundreds of outbound calls per day, giving me phone etiquette and customer service experience.
  • Responded to emails on the company inbox with individualised instructions for customers and their respective issues.
  • I was awarded "Employee of the Month" in only my third month of employment.
