I love my time with my Mokos and Husband, as we see each other only in the weekends.

I grew up in a small rural town town called tokaanu, on the Southern shores of Lake Taupo. and yes, I had an amazing childhood raised by a village of people apart from living with cousins, Koroua, Kuia and Pakeke. , life on the Marae and catching beat up buses to go to school. What a stark difference and landscape for Rural communities now. It is extremely hard for our Rangatahi and Whanau without those values of caring, loving kindness for each other, the enviorment that provided kai, been rich and living on an oily rag.

Health and wellbeing has to extend and include, Ta tinana, Ta wairua, Ta hinengaro, ta whanau and Taiao.

So I celebrate the launching of Te Pae Tata and its unknown intensions of delivering Health Services in Aotearoa that is the Legacy of my Tupuna and my own indiginoeus space of Mauri Ora.

" E Kore tenei whakaoranga e kore ki tua o aku mokopuna"

Our grandchildren shall inherit, a better place than I inherited.
