Fanyu Ge

I am a software development enthusiast with a educational background in software development-related studies from a reputable university in China. After graduating, I had the opportunity to join Zhongqi Power Technology, an IT technology company, for my internship. While my initial interest was in technical development roles, I was temporarily assigned to the sales department due to technical positions being filled at that time. In this role, I took on the responsibilities of customer development and providing technical support to clients.

During my time in the sales department, I successfully built and maintained a solid client base, which led to considerable financial gains. This success, coupled with other factors, influenced my decision not to apply for a transition back to a technical development role within the company. Instead, I continued my career in sales for the next five to six years, eventually moving to a Fortune Global 500 company with even better prospects in the sales department.

However, the global outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019-2020 led me to reevaluate my career path. It became clear that my true passion lies in software development, and I find great joy in coding. With this realization, I made the decision to pursue my dream further and relocated to New Zealand to enroll in the latest IT technology program at WINTEC.

As my current course comes to an end later this year, I am eager to continue my academic journey and explore opportunities for a career transition back to the software development field. My ultimate goal is to leverage my strong coding abilities and technical knowledge to contribute to innovative projects and excel in the IT industry. I am excited about the prospect of applying for the graduate program at your esteemed institution, as it would provide the perfect platform for my professional growth and development in the IT domain.
