Summary

I believe very strongly that all people should be treated with respect, with no exception.

Working in the New Zealand context, the Treaty of Waitangi needs to be strongly valued and opportunities for healthcare need to be amenable to all people groups.

Teamwork is valued and support and teaching for colleagues essential.

Adhering to protocols and knowing when to call for help for senior staff is an important part of nursing practice.

Keeping communication clear, both written and verbal is vital in the nursing context.
