Racehorse Yearling Prep

  • Introducing yearlings to being groomed and washed thoroughly to a high standard of turnout.
  • Working gently and quietly with the yearlings to build their confidence being worked with.
  • Mucked out stables, yards and paddocks, swept yard, filled haynets, cleaned water troughs and filled water buckets and made feeds and fed out to horses.
  • Trained horses to go on the walker and lead in hand to show off horse to its best potential.
  • Turned-out horses to high standards and lead out in hand for perspective buyers and lead horses in the ring whilst being auctioned at the 3 day yearling sale.
  • Monitored horses for any injuries or sensitivities and communicated concerns to stud owner.
  • Working quietly and calmly with mares and their foals.
  • Handled brood mares putting them into the crush for scans.

Horse Schooling, Windward Connemara Stud

  • Schooled ponies for breeder before being sold as children's riding ponies.

I have competed up to 105cm eventing, level 3 dressage with great success. I've coached horse management at pony club.

I enjoy Aerial silks and perform in this art.

I am an experienced skier, I enjoy tramping, sea kayaking and rock climbing. For relaxation I paint and enjoy photography.
