I am a diligent hard worker. I enjoy working and participating in a team and I can also be trusted to work independently.
I am a quick learner and I am not afraid to step outside my comfort zone. I am able to follow instructions and take direction. If I am unsure of what is expected of me, I ask.
I have had a number of paid seasonal and volunteer jobs as a student. During 2023 I was fortunate to participate in the Gateway work experience scheme with Laser Electrical. This experience affirmed my goal to become an a qualified electrician.
I am a dedicated member of the very successful Midway senior sport Surf Life Saving squad, This sport has taught me that consistency and commitment will help me to achieve my goals.

General construction labouring duties as required at residential and industrial properties around the Gisborne and Wairoa regions.
Electrical work experience each Friday at industrial and residential properties around the Gisborne region.
Squash skinning, cleaning and steaming in preperation for processing.
Order picking and preparation for freight shipping.
Preparation of apple boxes, product quality control and packing for shipment.
I am a dedicated member of the very successful Midway senior sport Surf Life Saving squad and I am an active surf lifeguard.
Although Surf Life Saving is a very social sport, the commitment required for training and development should not be underestimated.
This year I was a member of two teams that broke national titles at the New Zealand Pool Rescue Champs and I won my first individual medal and a National event. I am very proud of these achievements as they are rewards earned from hours upon hours of training.
I have built very strong relationships with like-minded and similarly committed friends through the sport. I have developed a strong understanding of what is required to compete in a team environment and as an individual in a sports setting and I can see the value of these skills in a work setting.
Much of our competing is away from Gisborne against other clubs from across New Zealand. In April 2024 I will be traveling to the Sunshine Coast to compete at the Australian Surf Life Saving Nationals (The Aussies).
I am a qualified surf Lifeguard and IRB crewman, I am currently training to become an IRB driver. Across an average summer I am likely to volunteer between 20 and 30 hours to this important community service.
Surf Life saving is important to me. The dedication and commitment required to achieve sports success and Lifeguard development supports my physical and mental wellbeing.
