- My main role has been a very hands on customer service front. I have been in quiet and very busy situations where a lot of thinking has to be done on my feet. I am very confident in my numeracy skills in and under pressure. This has meant being able to easily and confidently communicate with different people of all ages.
- This job has ranged from part time during the quiet winters to full time during the very busy hectic summers. My role is very versatile from dealing with the customer service side of it to very hands on. The hands on side ranged from making Pate to linking sausages. I am very confident in basic cooking and the food safety protocols around serving food.
- The business also changed hands December 2023 meaning that I had a big role in helping to make the transition easier and helping to train.
- I am also very good with people and chatting to make them feel more comfortable. This has meant dealing with customers that have had difficult demands to the most easy going people.
- From working here I have also become very confident in working under pressure and on a shop till, the one here was memorising codes and buttons but I can easily pick up new skills needed.
- The shop customer service side of it also ranged from stocking shelves and managing stock levels. This also meant knowing what stock we had and being able to confidently recommend a product that would suit them best for their needs. If we did not have the specific one they were after I had to recommend a suitable replacement.
