I am 24 years old and I'm currently working at CAB Surfaces & Benchtops. I grew up on a small farm in Mokau with my parents and my two brothers. I enjoy the outdoors evolving hunting, fishing, any kind of walking/tramping and have a strong passion for the environment. I'm a hand’s on kind of person and people who know me well regard me as an honest hardworking person and I believe I have the commitment and dedication to see every job through to completion.

  • Fabricate all types of benchtops to a high standard according to clients needs.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools and machines including CNC's table saw.
  • Maintained machinery used in the manufacture of joinery items according to health and safety regulations.

  • Completed my 4 year apprenticeship at Jones and Sandford Joinery.
  • Created furniture for different uses based on client requirements. Some big projects I have seen through to completion include Auckland's Air NZ Koru lounge, PWC tower in Auckland, TSB Bank Christchurch. All these projects included high end joinery such as reception counters, feature walls and ceilings and kitchens.
  • Operated CNC machines and edge banding machines along with a range of other tools and machines to cut, shape and smooth lumber and other construction materials.
  • Throughout my 4 years at Jones and Sandford I was lucky enough to be a big part of some major changes to the factory which included, fitting a new roof, re-cladding and painting all parts of the factory, installing solar panels to the roof. This has given me a great variety of skills outside of the normal joinery ones.
  • Had other apprentice's working under my care.
