Ghost Trio (Monique Lapins - violin, Ken Ichinose - cello, Gabriela Glapska - piano) was founded in mid 2019 as a part of Gabriela’s PhD recital
The trio quickly established a deep musical bond and have continued their collaboration ever since, establishing themselves as a highly regarded ensemble
All three members are accomplished soloists and chamber musicians with diverse musical backgrounds
Hailed as “extraordinarily dynamic and impactful [with] infinitely varied playing” (Peter Mechen - Middle C), the trio has toured nationwide, including for Chamber Music New Zealand’s Music Up Close series, a tour where their performances were described as possessing “elan and unfailing attention to musical detail” (Leon Gray - Tauranga Musica)
Most recently, they performed Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the St Matthews Chamber Orchestra (Auckland) conducted by Micheal Joel, which was met with a standing ovation from the audience
The trio is passionate about exploring a new approach towards the greatest classics written for piano trio, the discovery of lesser-known contemporary treasures as well as proudly showcasing new works by Aotearoa’s talented composers.

TrioNique (Clare Ellis - flute, Tomomi Johnston - saxophone, Gabriela Glapska - piano) is developing a reputation for delivering sparkling concerts full of fun and flair in addition to forging imaginative collaborations with composers, schools, universities and community groups
They completed a South Island tour for Ryman Healthcare residents in 2021.

They have participated in two intensive weekends of creative exploration and collaboration, ending with a sharing of work on 24 January 2021
Each team comprised of an instrumentalist, writer, composer, and opera singer at different stages of their careers.
